Welcome
to the 2026–2027 school year! We are thrilled to welcome you and your
child to the Montclair Early Learning Academy (MELA) and to our
Mini-Mounties family. This year marks the beginning of an exciting new
chapter as we open the doors to our new early learning home, and we are
honored that your family is part of this journey.
Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is:
“The Road to Success is Always Under Construction”
As
we begin this inaugural year at MELA, this theme reminds us that
meaningful growth doesn't happen overnight. Like building a road,
preparing children for a lifetime of learning takes time, care,
teamwork, and dedication. Every day, our students, educators, families,
and community partners will work together to build strong foundations,
celebrate milestones, overcome challenges, and create meaningful
learning experiences.At
Mini-Mounties @ MELA, we know that every journey begins with a strong
foundation. Our role is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging
environment where children can explore, play, build relationships, and
develop the skills that will prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
Together with our families, we are paving the way for lifelong learning.

We
also know that children learn best when schools and families work as
partners. Your involvement, encouragement, and communication are
essential to your child's success. We encourage you to stay connected
throughout the year by participating in school events, reading classroom
and school communications, asking questions, and celebrating your
child's growth along the way.
This Family
Handbook has been designed to serve as a helpful resource throughout
the school year. Inside, you will find important information about our
program, daily routines, policies, procedures, and expectations. We
encourage you to review it carefully and keep it available as a
reference throughout the year.
As
we build the Montclair Early Learning Academy together, we are
committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and joyful learning
community where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
